The old site of Shajiao Fishing Platform is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The old site of Shajiao Fishing Platform is located on Fishing Hill in Shajiao Community, Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, to the east of Qishan Mountain. It was built in the ninth year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1883). It consists of four platforms: the Front Fishing Platform, the Rear Fishing Platform, the Left Fishing Platform, and the Right Fishing Platform, covering an area of approximately 22,490 square meters. The four platforms are arranged in a row, hidden within the mountain, forming a concealed battery-style fortification. The mountain-piercing tunnels have brick-and-stone walls, plastered with lime sand, and are paved with cement and gravel. The concealed gun emplacements feature square wooden supports with arched, rounded tops. At the top of Fishing Hill stands one open-air gun emplacement with a circular gun pit. Among the various platforms at Shajiao, the Fishing Platform is the largest in scale and the best preserved. It has a gate tower surrounded by protective walls, making for a rather majestic sight. Within the walls are gun emplacements, as well as barracks and training grounds. The old site of Shajiao Fishing Platform is an important location for patriotic education and national defense education, and also holds significant value for the study of Ming and Qing coastal defense heritage. It was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 1982.
