The old site of She Tou Wan Fort is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The old site of She Tou Wan Fort is situated on the flat ground at the summit of She Tou Wan Hill in Nanmian Community, Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It was first built in the 23rd year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1843), when it was constructed as an earthen fort. The hillside in front was leveled to form an artillery platform, surfaced with stone slabs, and included seventeen gun positions, one shrine, and eight soldiers' quarters. In the 6th year of the Xianfeng reign (1856), during the Second Opium War, it was damaged by British forces. It was rebuilt in the 9th year of the Guangxu reign (1883). The existing fort reflects the architectural style of the Guangxu period. It faces southwest and is situated northeast, enclosed by an earthen wall forming an approximately rectangular layout, covering an area of about 2,520 square meters. The main gate is located on the eastern side. Within the wall are two open-air gun emplacements, one on the left and one on the right, connected by a hidden passage. The old site of She Tou Wan Fort serves as an important venue for patriotic education and national defense awareness. It holds significant value for the study of coastal defense facilities from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 1982.
