The Site of Dingyang Platform is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Site of Dingyang Platform, also known as Goose Cliff Fort, is located at the foot of Goose Mountain in Jiumenzhai Community, Humen Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the spring of 1881 during the seventh year of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty. Facing the first defensive line of the Humen Forts—the Shajiao Fort—from afar, it guarded the strategic entrance to the Taiping River from Sankoukou. Oriented from northwest to southeast, the existing Dingyang Fort has three gun emplacements, consisting of two main gun positions and one auxiliary position. The two main gun emplacements are connected by an underground passage that is 50 meters long and about 3 meters wide, featuring ammunition storage rooms and hidden chambers. The passage and chambers are built on a foundation of granite with red-brick arched ceilings. The auxiliary gun position is smaller. There are also three Western-style Qing soldiers’ barracks with arched roofs and pillars, measuring 14.85 meters in width and 10.8 meters in depth. The Site of Dingyang Platform serves as an important site for patriotic education and national defense education, and holds significant value for the study of Ming and Qing coastal defense facilities. It was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 1982.

Jiumenzhai Community: Jiumenzhai Community covers an area of 2.3 square kilometers and comprises five resident groups, with a registered population of 1,453 and a migrant population of approximately 7,300. The community currently has seven cadres in its “two committees” (including five Party committee members, three neighborhood committee members, and one dual-role member), among whom three have a high school education or below, and four have college-level or higher education.
