The Shrine of Shaodian Gong is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Shrine of Shaodian Gong is located to the left of the Wancui Gong Shrine in Nanshe Village, Chashan Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the 41st year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1776) and renovated in 1997. The shrine faces north and features a traditional three-bay, two-courtyard, two-corridor layout with a central courtyard, covering an overall width of 9.7 meters, a depth of 9.4 meters, and an area of approximately 91 square meters. It has a brick, wood, and stone structure with grey brick walls and red sandstone plinths. The roof is of flush gable type, featuring a mixed system of raised beams and through-tenon beams, with a hipped gable wall, a "double-swallow" ridge decorated with plaster dragons, grey barrel tiles, green glazed tile end caps, and scalloped eaves. The front gate bears the vermilion stone relief inscription “Shaojian Gong Ci” (Shrine of Shaodian Gong) and is flanked by a couplet reading “Civil Officials and Military Commanders Rise Like Phoenixes and Dragons.” The rear hall displays a wooden plaque inscribed with “Bao De Tang” (Hall of Virtue Commendation), and the shrine platform enshrines the memorial tablets of Shaodian Gong and his ancestors through the generations. The shrine holds significant value for studying the architecture of ancestral halls in Dongguan during the Qing Dynasty, as well as the history of Nanshe Village and the Xie family. It was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2006.

Nanshe Village: Located southeast of Chashan Town and about 18 kilometers from downtown Dongguan, Nanshe Village enjoys convenient transportation. It covers an area of 4.13 square kilometers, comprises seven village groups, has a registered population of 3,690, and a migrant population of around 10,000. In 2016, the total operating income of Nanshe Village’s collective economic entities at both the village and group levels reached 33.62 million yuan, with a net profit of 18.08 million yuan, indicating steady growth in its collective economy.
