Longyan Hill Site

The Longyan Hill Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Longyan Hill Site is located on the southwestern slope of Longyan Hill in Miaobianwang Village, Shipai Town, Dongguan City. It dates back to the Shang Dynasty. The cultural layer is 0.7 meters thick and contains a large number of shells. The unearthed pottery is mostly earthenware, including types such as cauldrons, jars, dou (bean-shaped vessels), pedestals, and spinning whorls. The jars are characterized by folded shoulders, concave bottoms, or ring feet. The decorative patterns include cord marks, checkered patterns, twisted patterns, ladder-grid patterns, diamond-grid patterns, vein patterns, thundercloud patterns, stripes, vortex patterns, and string patterns. Stone tools include trapezoidal adzes, double-shouldered adzes, ge (dagger-axes), rings, and cores.

Miaobianwang Village: Miaobianwang Village is located in the southeastern part of Shipai Town, covering an area of about 4 square kilometers. It has a permanent population of 2,200 and a migrant population of approximately 6,000. The village comprises five villager groups. Three major roads—Longgang Avenue, Shipai Avenue, and Shiheng Avenue—form a surrounding road network on the outskirts of the village, while Wangzhongming Avenue runs through the entire village and connects to the three main roads. It takes only 15 minutes by car to reach Dongguan Railway Station and 1 hour to reach Shenzhen, making transportation very convenient.
