The Baoshan Silver Smelting Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Baoshan Silver Smelting Site is located in Baoshan, Huangjiang Town, Dongguan. Silver was smelted here during the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty, but production ceased later due to high costs and low silver content. The silver mining cave is horizontally shaped like a circular terrace, about 11 meters deep, with an entrance 7 meters high and 4 meters wide. Deep inside the cave, it is 2 meters in both height and width, divided into two levels with signs of artificial excavation. A small ditch in front of the cave contains a large amount of artificially piled soil, which includes smelted silver ore. At that time, this cave was called the "Silver Kiln." Baoshan was originally named Lushan but was renamed Baoshan (meaning "Treasure Mountain") because of the silver mine, and the then Bao’an County also derived its name from this.

Huangjiang Town: Huangjiang Town is located in the hinterland of the Guangdong–Hong Kong Economic Corridor, with well-developed transportation. It is 80 kilometers west of Guangzhou, 60 kilometers south of Hong Kong, and 6 kilometers north of Dongguan Station on the Beijing–Kowloon Railway. It is only 48 kilometers (a 40-minute drive) from Shenzhen International Airport and Fuyong Passenger Terminal, with multiple direct buses to Hong Kong available every day. The town covers a total area of approximately 98 square kilometers, governing 11 villages and 3 communities. The local population is 22,000, while the migrant population exceeds 200,000.
