Yusheng Building

Yusheng Building (commonly known as the West Building) is located on the north bank of Ximen Pond in the Ming and Qing dynasty ancient architectural complex of Nanshe Village, Chashan Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It is one of the more well-preserved residences in Nanshe Village featuring distinctive Republican-era characteristics. The exterior is styled as a Western-style small mansion, while the interior retains traditional Chinese features such as a "four waters returning to the hall" courtyard and a pyramidal roof house structure. The dwelling is a perfect blend of Chinese and Western styles, built by Xie Yusheng, hence the name Yusheng Building.
