The Wancui Ancestral Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Wancui Ancestral Hall: This is the clan hall of Xie Wancui, the seventh-generation ancestor of the Xie family from Nanshe. It was originally built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1610), and was renovated in 1937 and 1998. Oriented from southeast to northwest, it follows a three-bay, two-courtyard courtyard-style layout. The front gate features two wing platforms, and the first entrance gate is very simple. The wall base, door frames, and lintels are all made of red sandstone. The side pillars are inscribed with the couplet “Blessings spanning seven generations, descendants branching into a thousand,” and the horizontal plaque reads “Wancui Ancestral Hall.” Upon entering, there is a narrow, long wooden central screen with another couplet on the back: “In the village, uphold kinship and harmony; in the ancestral hall, respect ancestors and revere lineage.” The main hall displays a horizontal plaque inscribed with “Yanghui Hall,” beneath which ancestral tablets are enshrined. The hall covers an area of 212.16 square meters. It is built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring a flush-gable roof and a hybrid wooden beam framework of raised beams and through-tenons.

Two flagpole stones stand on the open space in front of the ancestral hall, erected in honor of successful imperial examination candidates from the fourth year of the Tongzhi reign and the second year of the Guangxu reign, respectively. For one family to produce two jinshi scholars within just 11 years was truly a remarkable achievement.

Nanshe Village: Located southeast of Chashan Town and about 18 kilometers from downtown Dongguan, Nanshe Village enjoys convenient transportation. It spans an area of 4.13 square kilometers, encompasses 7 villager groups, has a registered population of 3,690, and a migrant population of around 10,000. In 2016, the total operating income at both the village and group levels reached 33.62 million yuan, with a net profit of 18.08 million yuan, indicating steady growth in the collective economy.
