Dongguan Green Tile Building

The Green Tile Building is located on the campus of the North District of Dongguan Middle School in Guancheng District, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It is a teaching building constructed on the original site of the Bao’an Warehouse with funding from the Dongguan Minglun Hall. In 1927, Yuan Changshan, then principal of Dongguan Middle School, planned and designed the building, and it was completed in 1929 under the leadership of Principal Luo Rurong. The Green Tile Building comprises three two-story arcade buildings arranged from north to south, with connecting corridors on the right side between each building. Facing south, it features a reinforced concrete structure with ivory-colored walls and green-glazed tile hip-and-gable roofs. The total width is 31.2 meters, depth 43.1 meters, covering an area of 1,344.72 square meters. It is still in use as a student teaching building. This building has witnessed the evolution of education in Dongguan.
