The Gao Bu Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is located on the western side of the campus of Di Yong Middle School in Gao Bu Town, Dongguan City. During the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War, the people of Gao Bu engaged in numerous battles against the enemy. Over 40 guerrilla fighters from Gao Bu sacrificed their lives in these battles. Among them was Chen Zhihuai (from Lingwu Village), a platoon leader of the guerrillas who died in June 1949 while intercepting the electric boat of the bandit Liu Faru’s forces, as well as Huang Peinan, commander of the Di Yong Militia Regiment, and Xiong Jinzhi, deputy commander, who were killed in January 1945 during the battle to liberate Gao Bu.

In 1971, the Gao Bu Commune gathered the remains of revolutionary martyrs that were scattered across the area and built the Gao Bu Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument on the campus of Di Yong Middle School. It was rebuilt by Gao Bu Town in 1984. The rebuilt monument covers an area of 94.1 square meters and stands 4.7 meters tall. Made of stone plaster, the monument bears the bold inscription “Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs.” The front of the base is inscribed with a commemorative text. The site is surrounded by lush pines and cypresses, creating a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
