The Ancestral Hall of the Kuang Family – Site of Military Training Activities During the War of Resistance Against Japan is a cultural relic protection unit of Dongguan City.

The Ancestral Hall of the Kuang Family – Site of Military Training Activities During the War of Resistance Against Japan is located in the Old Enclosure of Taigongling Village, Dalingshan Town, with GPS coordinates: 22°55'09.3"N, 113°48'42.1"E, and an elevation of 34 meters.

The site was originally built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, facing south with a north orientation, and features a traditional three-bay, two-courtyard layout, measuring 10.4 meters in width and 17.5 meters in depth, constructed with a brick, wood, and stone structure.

In January 1938, the Dongguan Central Branch of the Chinese Communist Party assigned Zhang Ying to carry out work in Dalingshan. With the support of local residents, Zhang Ying centered his efforts in Taigongling Village and conducted anti-Japanese and national salvation propaganda in surrounding rural areas, trained able-bodied men, organized self-defense teams in various villages, and established a Chinese Communist Party branch, recruiting party members. He also set up a communication and reception station in Taigongling Village, laying a foundation among the people. In early 1938, Zhang Ying used the Kuang Ancestral Hall as a cover for running a school while carrying out propaganda and organizing anti-Japanese salvation activities. In December of the same year, the open area in front of the ancestral hall was used as a training ground for military drills.

The Kuang Ancestral Hall underwent two renovations in 1962 and 2007 respectively. The site is now well-preserved and has largely been restored to its original appearance. In January 2004, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Dongguan City by the Dongguan Municipal People’s Government.

Taigongling Village: Located in the northwest of Dalingshan Town, Taigongling Village is 3.5 kilometers from the town center, covering a total area of 2.24 square kilometers. The Taigongling Village Committee governs five villager groups, primarily residing in five residential communities: Dadi Community, Yuantangzi Community, Shuangling Community, Jinlan Community, and Yuanshanzi Community. There are 478 permanent urban households with a population of 1,675, and over 7,100 new migrants. The village hosts a total of 37 foreign-funded and private enterprises. In 2010, the combined economic income of the village and group levels reached 12.6 million yuan.
