The site of the former headquarters of the Dongbao United County Committee of the CPC is located on Hantou Ridge to the north of Qingxi Town, surrounded by mountains. GPS coordinates: 22°52'03.1" N, 114°10'26.3" E, at an elevation of 65 meters.

In late December 1938, the headquarters of the Dongbao United County Committee of the CPC relocated from Baihuadong in Guanlan (now part of Bao'an District, Shenzhen) to the Zeng Ancestral Hall in Kucadong Village, Qingxi. On New Year’s Day 1939, the Dongbao United County Committee of the CPC directed the Dongguan Anti-Japanese Model Militia, the First Battalion of the Dongbao-Hui Border People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Unit, and anti-Japanese forces mobilized by local party branches across various districts—totaling about 200 personnel—to gather in Kucadong, Qingxi County, for training. From these, 120 were selected to form the Dong (guan) Bao (an) Hui (yang) Border People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Unit. Wang Zuoyao was appointed as the unit commander, and He Yucheng as the political instructor.

In March 1939, the Dongbao United County Committee of the CPC held a one-month Party member training class in Kucadong, covering topics such as Party building, mass movements, and the history of the Chinese revolutionary movement. Through the training, Party members enhanced their political awareness.

In April 1939, the headquarters of the Dongbao United County Committee of the CPC moved from Kucadong to Tangxia, Dongguan.

The Zeng Ancestral Hall in Kucadong Village was built during the Ming Dynasty. It had three rooms and two courtyards, covering an area of approximately 100 square meters. In the early 1990s, the ancestral hall collapsed naturally, and now only the remaining half-wall of the right-side room’s exterior wall is left.

Qingxi Town: Located in the southeastern part of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, Qingxi Town borders Hong Kong and Macau and is adjacent to Shenzhen and Huizhou. Covering an area of 143 square kilometers, it boasts a beautiful ecological environment and well-developed urban infrastructure. It has been designated as a "National Comprehensive Experimental Zone for Social Development," a "National Pilot Town for Small Town Construction," and a "National Pilot Town for Comprehensive Reform." It has also earned honors such as "National Top 100 Town for Afforestation and Greening," "National Top 10 Towns for Export Earnings by Foreign-Funded Enterprises," and "National Sanitary Town." Among the national top 1,000 towns, it ranks within the top 50.
