The Site of the Lianping United Township Office of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government in Dalingshan is a patriotic education base.

The Site of the Lianping United Township Office of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government in Dalingshan is located in Jiling Village Group, Lianping Village, Dalingshan Town. GPS coordinates: 22°56'03.5" N, 113°47'53.6" E, at an elevation of 33 meters.

The site was originally the ancestral hall of the Li family, first built during the Qing Dynasty. It faces southwest with its back to the northeast and features a three-bay, two-courtyard layout, with a width of 11.3 meters, depth of 17 meters, and a construction area of 192 square meters.

In October 1940, the Third Battalion of the Guangdong People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces advanced into the Dalingshan area of Dongguan to establish an anti-Japanese base. In May 1941, the Third Battalion, in coordination with local Communist Party organizations, formed a district-wide governing body—the Lianping United Township Office—on the foundation of eight existing township-level anti-Japanese democratic governments in the Dalingshan region. The office was housed in the Li ancestral hall, with Liu Yin, a returned overseas Chinese from Malaysia, serving as director. He was responsible for civil affairs within the base area, implementing rent and interest reductions, organizing production, and effectively supporting the guerrillas’ resistance efforts behind enemy lines. In early October 1941, when the Kuomintang die-hard forces attacked the Dalingshan base, the Third Battalion, facing overwhelming odds, shifted to fighting outside the region. Liu Yin, seven other staff members, as well as over ten medical personnel and wounded soldiers from the medical station, retreated to Rongqidun Village. However, due to the betrayal of a spy, Liu Yin and his group were captured by the die-hard forces, who then brutally executed them by live burial in mountain caves or throwing them into deep ravines, where they died as martyrs.

The site underwent comprehensive renovation in 2004. As part of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Site complex, it was designated in May 2006 by the State Council as part of the sixth group of Major National Historical and Cultural Sites. In April 2008, it was named a Dongguan Patriotic Education Base by the Dongguan Municipal Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction.
