The site of the Dajiatuan Newspaper Office of the Third Detachment of the Guangdong People's Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces is located in Dawangling Village Group, Dalingshan Village, Dalingshan Town, with GPS coordinates: 22°53'00.4"N, 113°48'28.8"E, at an elevation of 41 meters.

This site is a mud-brick residential building, 11 meters wide and 9.3 meters deep, with a floor area of 102 square meters. It features a flush-gable roof structure and follows the typical "gold-wrapped-silver" masonry technique. In October 1940, the Third Detachment of the Guangdong People's Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces advanced into the Dalingshan Mountain area of Dongguan to establish an anti-Japanese base. The Dajiatuan Newspaper was founded in January 1941 by the Third Detachment, with Du Jinnan serving as its editor-in-chief. It was the first newspaper published by the Chinese Communist Party in the enemy-occupied guerrilla zones of Guangdong during the War of Resistance against Japan. The newspaper was initially printed using a mimeograph, starting as a 16-page format and later switching to an 8-page tabloid size. It was published weekly, with a total of 20 issues, mainly promoting anti-Japanese guerrilla activities, reporting on domestic and international news, as well as the anti-Japanese struggle in the Dongjiang region. In the early days, the newspaper’s news sources primarily relied on underground party members bringing newspapers back from Hong Kong, which led to longer publishing cycles. Later, radio broadcasts were used to gather news materials. In September 1941, the newspaper merged with the Xin Baixing (New Common People) Newspaper, which was published by the Fifth Detachment in the Yangtai Mountain Anti-Japanese Base in Bao’an. It became the predecessor of the Dongjiang Column’s official newspaper, Qianjin Bao (Forward Newspaper).

As part of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Site, the Dajiatuan Newspaper Office site was designated in May 2006 by the State Council as part of the sixth group of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level. In April 2008, it was named a Dongguan Patriotic Education Base by the Dongguan Municipal Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction.

Dalingshan Village: Located southwest of Dalingshan Town, about 3 kilometers from the town center, Dalingshan Village covers a total area of 7 square kilometers.
