The former site of Dongguan Middle School is a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

The former site of Dongguan Middle School is located in Dongzheng Community, Guancheng Subdistrict, Dongguan City, dating back to the Republican Era.

On April 19, 2019, the former site of Dongguan Middle School was designated as part of the Ninth Batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

The heritage structures include the Dongzheng Report Merit Shrine and three old teaching buildings.

Dongzheng Community: Located in the northeast of Guancheng District, Dongguan City, Dongzheng Community is bordered by Yajiaowei to the east, the People’s Park to the south, Xizheng Road to the west, and the canal to the north. Covering an area of approximately 2.5 square kilometers, the community has a registered population of 21,000. The Dongzheng Community Party Working Committee consists of three branches and governs seven neighborhood groups: Dongzheng, Xuanhua, Anjing, Xinhe, Hongyu, Cuijing, and Jiaowei. The area boasts comprehensive social public service facilities including municipal government offices, enterprises and institutions, colleges, primary and secondary schools, municipal hospitals, kindergartens, libraries, youth centers, the People’s Park, Dongmen Square, and more.
