Zoumagan Site

The Zoumagan Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Guangdong Province.

The Zoumagan Site is located in Liangcun, Wuliting, Shaoguan City. It dates back to the Shang Dynasty. In 1960 and 1985, the Cultural Relics Management Committee of Guangdong Province conducted excavations here twice. Two irregularly shaped circular vertical shaft kilns, one semi-subterranean dwelling site with features such as hearths and postholes were discovered. The unearthed pottery includes both sandy-clay and clay-bodied types, with vessel types such as cauldrons, jars, and plates, mostly featuring round bottoms or ring feet. Stone tools include axes, adzes, spades, chisels, knives, arrowheads, halberds, and rings. The characteristics of the artifacts are similar to those found at the Niuyuzhuan Site in Qujiang.

In July 1978, the Guangdong Provincial Revolutionary Committee designated it as a cultural relics protection unit.
