Montaza Palace Gardens

Introduction: Known as the Summer Palace, Montaza Palace was the retreat of Egypt’s last king, Farouk. It is located in a vast scenic area at the eastern end of Alexandria, surrounded by gardens (the palace is encircled by a large garden), boasting breathtaking views and a beautiful environment. The interiors are incredibly luxurious, and many rooms and bedrooms remain in their original state for visitors to view. The buildings within the garden each have their own distinctive style. The main structures, Al Haramelk and Al Salamelk, have been converted into hotels and offer views over Al Montazah Bay. At dusk, many people come here to enjoy the night scenery, making it a great spot for photography.

Transportation: Take bus 260 or 129 from the seaside at Saad Zaghloul Square; it takes about 30 minutes to arrive. Opening hours: The gardens are open 24 hours, but entry requires a ticket.
