The press conference for the 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference—Camping Equipment and RV Exhibition was successfully held on the morning of June 1 at the Nanjing International Expo Convention and Exhibition Center. Relevant leaders in attendance and delivering speeches included Chen Ming, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau; Lin Xiaosen, Director of the Social Services Department of FASC; Alexander Egle, Global Tourism and RV Brand Director of Messe Stuttgart GmbH; and Zeng Di, Project Director of Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition Co., Ltd.

The China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference is one of the most professional, authoritative, and industry-guiding brands of automobile and RV camping conferences in China, having been successfully held for five consecutive editions. At the 5th edition in Wuhu last year, the event revolved around seven key highlights—"Exhibition, Forum, Signing, Awards, Tours, Competitions, and Outreach"—to comprehensively showcase the development achievements of the national sports, fitness, and leisure industry amid supply-side reforms. In particular, the important "Camping Equipment and RV Exhibition" section covered an area of 50,000 square meters, with 125 companies participating and over 200 RVs and automobiles displayed on-site. The exhibition attracted more than 100,000 visitors, with total transaction volume reaching 42.52 million yuan and intended orders exceeding 8 million yuan.

The 6th China Automobile (RV) Camping Conference will take place from August 15 to 19, 2019, in Tianjin. Serving as a pivotal initiative by the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau and the Binhai New Area Government to drive the development of sports-tourism industries, the main segments of the conference include the National Camping Industry Investment Matchmaking Conference, the Camp Education and Self-driving Sports Industry Summit Forum, the China RV Camping Equipment Exhibition, and the Parallel Import Car Promotion Festival, among other industry events. These will promote the development of leisure sports and coastal tourism in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. During the conference, a variety of recreational activities will also be held, such as the National Camp Attack Archery Finals, themed music festivals, youth pioneer warrior camp competitions, and food festivals. Additionally, exciting sporting events will include motorboat races, sailing competitions, Harley-Davidson motorcycle parades, hiking competitions, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei New Energy Vehicle Rally.

Building on the successful experience of last year, this year’s Camping Equipment and RV Exhibition remains a key component of the conference. The exhibition is jointly organized by FASC and the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau, and hosted by Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition Co., Ltd.

Lin Xiaosen, Director of the Social Services Department of FASC, spoke highly of the current state and development trends of China's sports industry and self-driving tourism sector. He noted that the integration of “sports + tourism” has deeply tapped into the domestic self-driving market, advanced the optimization and expansion of RV campsite layouts, improved network systems, and become a new growth point for the national economy. He stated that this exhibition will provide free booth space to all exhibitors, ensuring participants not only have a platform to showcase but also achieve solid returns. Through the platform of the camping conference, the exhibition aims to serve as a model for sports integration and exchange. FASC will continue to develop high-quality events, enhance sports and cultural activities, and inject new vitality and growth opportunities into the RV camping industry.

Lin Xiaosen, Director of the Social Services Department of FASC
Chen Ming, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau, said the conference will drive the development of the leisure industry and RV camping tourism industry chain in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, foster new business models in car sports and sports consumption, and thereby boost sports consumption among residents in the area. The main venue of the conference will be located at Dongjiang Bay Golden Coast, the same site that hosted the sailing and windsurfing competitions during the 13th National Games, which boasts beautiful scenery and excellent supporting facilities. This conference will incorporate various new elements and is divided into four main sections: the main venue of the camping conference, the coastal camping and leisure experience area, the first Parallel Import Car Consumption Festival, and the “Trendy Camp” Coastal Carnival. The Camping Equipment and RV Exhibition, as the most important event, will run throughout the entire conference, with an anticipated attendance of nearly 300,000 visitors.

Chen Ming, Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Sports Bureau
At the press conference, Mr. Alexander Egle, Global Tourism and RV Brand Director of Messe Stuttgart GmbH, introduced the exhibition. Centered around the theme of making life better through RV camping, the exhibition gathers over 100 RV, campsite, and outdoor equipment companies from both China and abroad, featuring more than 150 RVs on display, with an expected exhibition area surpassing that of the fifth edition. Under government guidance and with enterprises actively involved, the exhibition brings together numerous domestic RV manufacturers, outstanding campsite operators, government departments, and enterprises, all committed to jointly advancing the development of the national RV camping industry. This edition will continue to waive booth fees for exhibitors and will use a variety of colorful concurrent activities to showcase the RV camping lifestyle to the public, fostering healthy and sustainable industry growth.
