Attack & Defense Archery Competition Kicks Off in Nanjing
The press conference for the 2019 Auto Camping Sports Base Attack & Defense Archery Competition was held on the morning of June 1 at the Nanjing International Expo Convention and Exhibition Center. The event is organized by the Automobile Camping Branch of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF) and hosted by Beijing Zhi Camping Investment Management Co., Ltd. Lin Xiaosen, Director of the Social Services Department of CAMF, along with other relevant officials, attended the event and delivered speeches.
Representing youth, fashion, and competitive leisure, the Attack & Defense Archery Competition is a key camping leisure event brand developed by CAMF in recent years. It aims to promote an optimistic sports spirit and showcase a fun and dynamic lifestyle. Compared to previous editions, this year’s competition has expanded further, with the number of participating auto camping sports base teams rising from 256 to 485. The preliminary rounds are now divided into six regions: Xinjiang, Guizhou, Guangdong, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Anhui, and Inner Mongolia, with the finals taking place during the 6th China Auto (RV) Camping Congress.
At the press conference, Lin Xiaosen, Director of the Social Services Department of CAMF, introduced this year’s event: The selection process for the six major regions will adopt a more open and diverse approach, taking place between June and August. With the Attack & Defense Archery competition at its core, the event will be complemented by a “Camping Carnival” that combines sports, leisure, culture, and entertainment. The beach Attack & Defense Archery finals in Tianjin Binhai in August will feature a more compact format and even more exciting highlights. Elements such as the blue sea, clear skies, sandy beaches, and archers will come together to deliver optimal competitive spectacle.

As the Attack & Defense Archery competition matures year by year, this upscale yet accessible sport is gradually integrating into everyday life. It has expanded beyond simple camping leisure competitions to encompass cultural entertainment and educational research fields. Currently, not only has Xinjiang hosted Attack & Defense Archery-themed study activities, but the entire Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has also begun rolling out such programs. The sport is making its way into primary and secondary school classrooms, receiving highly positive and enthusiastic responses.
As a fusion of classical Chinese culture and modern competitive sports, attack & defense archery is becoming a sustained and vibrant “mass Attack & Defense phenomenon.” The “Attack & Defense Festival” movement is also emerging as a brand-new form of sports carnival, gaining widespread popularity.
