The 2nd Yuedong China Camping Congress Nandagang Family Camping Carnival was successfully held!

From June 1st to 2nd, 2019, the 2nd Yuedong China Camping Congress Nandagang Family Carnival was successfully held at Nandagang Wetland in Bohai New Area, Cangzhou. The event was hosted by the Management Committee of Nandagang Industrial Park, Bohai New Area, Cangzhou, guided by the Outdoor Industry Alliance of the Industrial Culture Development Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and jointly organized by the Cultural Tourism Bureau of Nandagang Industrial Park and China Hulian Outdoor Sports Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd. as a branded outdoor activity.

This camping carnival included a variety of activities suitable for both professionals and the general public, such as family camping experiences, innovative childhood games, leisure outdoor sports, and nighttime carnival parties. Combining travel, food, and entertainment, it attracted visitors from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to participate.

Pleasant Climate, Grand Opening

On the day of the event, the Nandagang Wetland Park was gently breezy and had a pleasant climate. Hundreds of private cars and RVs from the Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei regions gathered at Nandagang Wetland. Families came together to experience the endless charm of summer in the lush wetlands. Colorful tent cabins became the most eye-catching scenery in the scenic area.

At 10:00 AM, the opening ceremony of the event officially commenced. Dong Liande, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Bohai New Area, Cangzhou, delivered the opening speech, while Liu Guolin, Member of the Party Working Committee of Bohai New Area, Cangzhou, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Nandagang Industrial Park, announced the official opening of the 2nd Yuedong China Camping Congress. After the opening ceremony, a model sailing performance and children’s balance bike race were held at the North Square Wharf of Nandagang Wetland, offering a refreshing and enjoyable experience for the audience.

Full Preheating, Getting the Family Community Excited First

Prior to the event, the organizers released recruitment posts and guide posts through multiple tourism-related media outlets in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to build up anticipation. This attracted significant attention from family camping enthusiasts and fans, aligning with the public’s desire to interact and spend time with their children during Children’s Day. Vehicle owners in the Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei region signed up enthusiastically. The organizers thoughtfully compiled the event manual, vehicle passes, and registration gifts into a beautifully designed Centurion Jolie bag, which was delivered in advance via express delivery to registrants, giving participants an early surprise. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing joy over receiving the gifts. The broad participation also reflected the community's appreciation for this positive interaction.

This camping event had a family theme. To fully engage families on-site and allow parents to grow together with their children while enjoying the scenic area, the organizers made full use of the venue to create an experiential interactive approach featuring an entry passport, on-site task games, and gift incentives. They blended fun with the beautiful scenery, unifying what could have been a monotonous camping activity within a game-based scenario, and enhanced the overall experience through multi-dimensional interactions. A participant from Beijing who tried childhood games like hopscotch and shuttlecock with their child said: “I’m usually very busy with work and rarely spend time with my child. Even when we go out, it’s mostly just sightseeing. Through this game experience, we talked with our child about the games we used to play, deepening our communication and understanding without even realizing it. We enjoyed the beauty of nature and family bonds, and there were so many great prizes for completing the challenges. It was truly a joyful experience.”

Musical Feast + Bonus Scene, A Thousand-Person Carnival Ignites the Scene

As night fell, dazzling lights illuminated the beautiful wetland, and enthusiastic music called everyone back. At 7:30 PM, the Carnival Camping Music Festival started right on time. Under this romantic sky, Mr. Michael Hua, known as the King of Asian Dance, delivered an energetic performance. The foreign band, White Cat Band, dressed in denim, played several upbeat country songs that, combined with the sparkling lights of the camping area, completely ignited the crowd’s enthusiasm. Rising internet celebrity singer Murong Yiyi performed the viral hit “Husband, Husband,” and the moment the music started, the entire venue erupted. The show concluded with an electrifying DJ set that had every audience member hitting the dance floor.

Mr. Wang from Tianjin said: “The experience at this family camping carnival was even better than last time. The family games instantly took me back to my childhood, and I got to spend a great Children’s Day with my child. The nighttime music carnival was absolutely fantastic—so exciting and amazing.”

Many attendees shared the event on their social media and gave it high praise. The event was also live-streamed on platforms such as Yingke, allowing over a hundred thousand people across the country to experience the excitement online. Beautiful scenery, colorful light beams, and bright smiling faces were captured in these moments, redefining the camping carnival in terms of sound, fun, and visuals. Participants discovered more joy in the event, while also showcasing the enchanting wetland scenery of Nandagang and the warm hospitality of the locals. Nandagang Wetland Park in Bohai New Area, Cangzhou, has become an important destination for self-driving tours and outdoor camping enthusiasts in the Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei region. The China Camping Congress will continue to uphold the goal of “providing outdoor time for the whole family” and further promote the development of camping culture in China.
