The Michelin-starred Alexander Steakhouse announces closure; operations will continue until May 21

The American steakhouse ALEXANDER'S STEAKHOUSE, which once earned a Michelin one-star rating, entered the Taiwanese market in October 2015. However, just over a year later, news of its closure emerged. The official announcement stated that Alexander Steakhouse Taipei will remain open until May 21, with operations officially ending on May 22. Nevertheless, the collaboration with Lady M will continue from April 1 to April 30. During lunch hours, a limited selection of premium cakes from the New York-based brand Lady M will be available, but only as an upgrade option for lunch set meals (upgrade price: 200 NTD per slice). They will not be sold separately, and each table is limited to two upgrades.

In a statement, Alexander Steakhouse noted the highly competitive nature of Taiwan’s F&B market and explained that the Taiwan agent and the American Alexander Group were unable to reach a consensus on management philosophy, leading to the decision to terminate their partnership. As a result, the Taiwan agent regretfully announced that Alexander Steakhouse Taipei will operate until May 21 and officially close on May 22. However, the Alexander team will continue to uphold their passion for cuisine and original commitment to quality over the next two months. The Alexander Group will maintain its presence in California, USA, and Tokyo, Japan, continuing to provide the world’s gourmets with top-tier service.
