Roman Theatre of Alexandria
The Roman Theatre of Alexandria was built in the 2nd century AD, featuring 14 rows of white marble seats that can accommodate around 800 spectators. The mosaic floor on the aisle in front of the performance area is still faintly visible. Originally an indoor theatre with a domed roof, only a few columns remain today. It is still frequently used for operas based on Egyptian or Greek legends.
