Introduction In the suburbs of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, there is a unique park that is not famous for its rare flowers nor its beautiful scenery, but is renowned worldwide for its gigantic and bizarre rocks — this is Balance Rock Park. The park is dotted with strangely shaped rocks of varying sizes, with smooth surfaces and diverse forms. Some resemble mushrooms, some look like small hats, and others are similar to wooden boats... The ingenuity of nature leaves people in awe. These rocks generally weigh several tons, some even dozens of tons, yet their supporting points are very small. Despite thousands of years of wind and rain, they have maintained their balance and remain standing. It is this magical wonder of nature that has made Balance Rock Park, spanning several square kilometers, one of Zimbabwe’s natural tourist attractions. The “boat-shaped boulder” pattern in the park has become one of Zimbabwe’s national symbols, widely recognized as it is printed on banknotes and tourism brochures.
