Victoria Falls is situated in the middle section of the Zambezi River, which stretches a total of 2,700 kilometers, making it the largest river in Africa flowing eastward into the Indian Ocean. Geologists estimate that Victoria Falls was formed around 150 million years ago. The falls span a width of 1,688 meters and drop 108 meters in height—1.5 times wider and twice as high as Niagara Falls. One can only imagine the awe-inspiring impact. The spray and thunder of the falls can be seen and heard from dozens of kilometers away.
