Matarengwe Falls is a free-leaping two-tiered waterfall with a total height of 762 meters, located in the Honde Valley of Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands. It is formed by the Matarengwe River as it cascades over the eastern edge of the Zimbabwean plateau.

Matarengwe Falls ranks as the 17th tallest waterfall in the world and is the second highest in Africa as well as the tallest in Zimbabwe. When the Matarengwe River flows over the cliff edge, it forms a magnificent two-tiered cascade, with water plummeting from a height of 762 meters—a truly spectacular sight. The Matarengwe River flows year-round, but the waterfall is at its most powerful and impressive between February and April. During the dry season in October, the flow significantly decreases.
