Tlemcen is located in northwestern Algeria and is the capital of Tlemcen Province. It is known for its handicrafts such as carpets and silverware, and is famous for its olive groves and vineyards. With centuries of rich history and culture, the city has become a unique center for music and art and is an important tourist destination in Algeria.

Situated on the foothills of the Tlemcen Mountains, the city enjoys a cool climate and is surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and olive groves, attracting numerous visitors. Due to its long history, it boasts many historical sites, including ancient mosques, minarets, and mausoleums, among which the Sidi Boumédiène Mausoleum is particularly well-known. The Great Mosque of Tlemcen, built in 1136, is said to be the most outstanding example of Murabitun architecture in the city. Tlemcen National Park consists of various archaeological ruins, cascading waterfalls, towering cliffs, and dense forests.
