The four “Discover Macau by District” routes offer a relaxing way to explore Macau and joyfully collect gifts. To help visitors enjoy a more relaxing and immersive experience in Macau and discover its unique charm, the Macao Government Tourism Office has specially designed four walking routes: “Historical Footprints,” “Green Culture & Creativity,” “China-Portugal Encounter,” and “Arts & Culture Exploration.” These allow visitors to leisurely stroll through Macau within 90 to 150 minutes. To leave a beautiful memory of your Macau trip,the Macao Government Tourism Office has also launched the “Discover Macau by District Stamp Collection Activity.” From now until September 20, collect stamps at designated locations along the four routes. By gathering three stamps on the same route, you can receive one limited-edition souvenir.Collect all 12 stamps on a single route to redeem a special gift. While enjoying your trip to Macau, don’t forget to collect stamps at the designated spots.

Lion Biennale – Fifty Lions Showcase Eastern and Western Artistic Creativity

In Europe, the lion is seen as a symbol of strength, while in Chinese culture, it represents wealth and protection. Lyon, France — which uses the lion as its city emblem — held the “Dream of the Lion” art event in 2004, which later evolved into the “Lion Biennale.” It has since been held in Turin, Italy (2006), Quebec, Canada (2008), and Algiers, Algeria (2012). This year, the “Lion Biennale” debuts in Asia for the first time, inviting fifty sculptors, painters, textile designers, and fashion designers from Macau, China, France, and other regions. Using the lion — a symbol of Lyon — as inspiration, they have created fifty lion sculptures that blend art and creativity.The “Lion Biennale” will be exhibited from now until October at venues such as the Macao Museum of Art, MGM Macau, Mandarin Oriental, Macau, One Central, and the Macao Tower, allowing the public to appreciate different artistic interpretations of the same subject. The MGM Macau, which uses the lion as its emblem, has also launched a special exhibition titled “Echoes of the Lion’s Roar” in its art space. Through stunning photography and multimedia installations, visitors can explore the artistic beauty of the “Lion Biennale” from various perspectives.
