While exploring, don’t miss the "Lion Biennale," where artists blend art and creativity to showcase the lion—symbolizing prosperity and protection—in diverse forms.

The four "Discover Macau by District" routes offer a relaxing way to explore Macau and enjoy collecting gifts. To help visitors experience Macau’s unique charm with ease, the Macao Government Tourism Office has specially designed four walking routes: "Historical Footprints," "Green Culture & Creativity," "Chinese & Portuguese Encounters," and "Arts & Culture Exploration." These routes allow visitors to leisurely discover Macau within 90 to 150 minutes of walking. To create beautiful memories of your trip,the Tourism Office has also launched the "Stamp Collection Activity." From now until September 20, collect stamps at designated spots along the four routes. Gather three stamps from the same route to receive a limited-edition souvenir;collect all 12 stamps in a route to redeem a special gift. While enjoying Macau, don’t forget to visit the designated locations to collect your stamps.

Lion Biennale Fifty Lions Showcase East-West Artistic Creativity

In Europe, the lion symbolizes strength, while in Chinese culture, it represents prosperity and protection. Lyon, France—where the lion is part of the city emblem—hosted the "Dream of the Lion" art event in 2004, which evolved into the "Lion Biennale." It has since been held in Turin, Italy (2006), Quebec, Canada (2008), and Algiers, Algeria (2012). This year, the "Lion Biennale" debuts in Asia, inviting fifty sculptors, painters, textile designers, and fashion designers from Macau, China, France, and beyond. Inspired by Lyon’s iconic lion, they’ve created fifty lion sculptures that merge art and creativity.The Lion Biennale runs from now until October at venues including the Macao Museum of Art, MGM Macau, Mandarin Oriental Macau, One Central, and the Macao Tower, showcasing artists’ varied interpretations of the same subject. The lion-emblazoned MGM Macau also presents a special exhibition, "Echoes of the Lion’s Roar," in its art space. Through striking visuals and multimedia installations, visitors can explore the artistic beauty of the Lion Biennale from fresh perspectives.
