The Liangcheng He Long Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction.

The He Long Memorial Hall is located within the church courtyard of Jinggouzi Village, Xianghuangdi Township, Liangcheng County. It was renovated in 1987. The memorial hall is about 2 kilometers north of the county town and covers an area of approximately one mu. The overall architecture has an antique charm, and the courtyard is elegant and pleasant, featuring gardens, orchards, vegetable plots, and tree-lined areas.

The memorial hall is divided into three exhibition rooms: the living quarters, the exhibition room, and the historical relics exhibition room. It prominently displays revolutionary relics such as office supplies, daily necessities used by He Long, as well as photos and materials related to his revolutionary activities. In addition, there are inscriptions from over 20 national, party, and provincial-ministerial leaders including Gao Kelin, Yang Zhilin, Buhe, Bai Chengming, Cheng Fengtao, and Lu Ping, vividly showcasing the great achievements of Comrade He Long during his revolutionary life.

From October 1945 to January 1964, Marshal He Long led his troops to Liangcheng on three occasions to carry out revolutionary activities. During the liberation of Zhuozi County, Liangcheng County, and the Sui-Bao Campaign, Commander He Long and his forces were stationed at the Jinggouzi Church three times to devise strategies for defeating the enemy. To this day, several slogans written by He Long’s troops during their training can still be found on the church pillars: “Long live Chairman Mao!” “Long live Commander Zhu!”

He Long (1896–1969) was a great proletarian revolutionary and military strategist, one of the founders and key leaders of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and a marshal of the People's Republic of China. His original name was He Wenchang, with the courtesy name Yunqing. He was from Sangzhi, Hunan. Over the course of more than half a century of revolutionary struggle, he made significant contributions to China’s old democratic revolution, new democratic revolution, socialist revolution, and construction, establishing immortal merits.
