Ulan Nur National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Ulan Nur National Wetland Park in Dalad Banner, Dalate City, Inner Mongolia, is located in Dalad Banner in the northern part of Ordos City. The planned total construction area is 904.88 hectares, with wetlands covering 643.43 hectares, accounting for 71.11% of the park’s total area. Ulan Nur Wetland is situated in the transitional zone between the Kubuqi Desert and the Yellow River alluvial plain. It serves as an ecological barrier that blocks the northward expansion of the Kubuqi Desert, playing a significant role in improving the water quality of the Yellow River and ensuring the ecological security of the middle and lower reaches of the river. At the same time, Ulan Nur Wetland is an important migratory corridor for birds, hosting 144 bird species including the black stork, great bustard, whooper swan, and tundra swan. Among them, there are 18 species under national first and second-class protection. The establishment of the national wetland park has effectively promoted local wildlife rescue efforts and holds great significance for the protection and growth of bird populations.
