Introduction

The National Zoo and Aquarium of Malaysia is located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, covering an area of 17 hectares. In the tropical rainforest, there are over 200 species of animals from around the world. The forest is dense, with lakes and streams scattered throughout, presenting a pristine landscape that offers a unique charm. There is a small train for children to ride. The aquarium houses over 80 species of marine and freshwater creatures, along with darkroom facilities that provide suitable living conditions for deep-sea fish. The facility also features numerous specimens and models, such as displays showing the growth process of lobsters and various shell collections, offering a rich array of exhibits. Animal performances: Elephant shows are held twice daily at 10:00 and 14:30; sea lion, orangutan, macaque, and parrot performances take place twice a day at 11:00 and 15:00 (15:30 on Fridays), with special night shows at 20:30 (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). You can take bus 170 (RapidKL) or 177 (RapidKL) (MYR 0.90) at Jln Melaka, or bus 16 (mini-bus) from Central Market. It is about 12 kilometers north of the city center and takes approximately 20 minutes by car. A taxi ride takes 10–15 minutes.
