Hailed by young people in Taiwan as a must-attend trendy party, the “Spring Wave Music Festival” made its way to Hong Kong and Singapore last year. This summer, it will make its Malaysian debut in Kuala Lumpur on August 2. Taiwanese live music icons such as A-Mei, Jolin Tsai, Ding Dang, Bii (Bii Shu-jen), Monkey Pilot, Boxing Band, the winning bands of the “Earth Spring Wave Awards,” and popular Malaysian artists will all take the stage in Kuala Lumpur, expected to spark a local craze and electrify Kuala Lumpur’s music fans.

Since its inception in 2006, the Spring Wave Music Festival has drawn tens of thousands of domestic and international music fans to the beaches of Kenting, Taiwan, every spring for a two-day musical extravaganza filled with non-stop excitement. Shen Guangyuan, a veteran music producer who has been involved in organizing the event for nine years, revealed that A-Mei, who previously did not participate in music festivals, has made an exception this year to perform on the Southeast Asian stage, bringing along a 30-member band to make a splash at Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia.

Additionally, with the growing trend of fitness and sports among the general public, more and more people are eager to challenge their physical abilities, often proving their athletic prowess through various running and obstacle races. However, the triathlon — consisting of swimming, cycling, and running — remains the ultimate test for sports enthusiasts. The 13th 【Port Dickson International Triathlon】 will return with a bang on August 9 and 10, featuring participants from various countries. The race categories include the Kids’ Category (300m swim, 8km bike ride, 1.6km run), the Olympic Distance Category (750m swim, 20km bike ride, 5km run), and the Standard Olympic Distance Category (1.5km swim, 40km bike ride, 10km run).
