AirAsia has announced that starting May 9, 2014, all flights operated by AirAsia to, from, and via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will be relocated from the former LCCT airport to Kuala Lumpur’s Second International Airport (KLIA2). Flights and transfers will not be affected between May 2 and 8. On May 8, originally scheduled flights departing from Kuala Lumpur will still take off from LCCT as planned. Additionally, some AirAsia X long-haul (D7) flights between the night of May 8 and early morning of May 9 will also depart from LCCT. However, some AirAsia (AK) flights will begin landing directly at Kuala Lumpur’s Second International Airport starting May 8.

To accommodate the airport change, AirAsia will open check-in counters three hours before flight departure, and will close check-in and baggage drop counters one hour before domestic and international flight departures.
