Introduction

To the north of Kuala Lumpur’s historic city center, there are two streets worth visiting. One is Jalan Masjid India, also known as Little India. This street is home to many shops selling Indian clothing, as well as Indian bronze lamps, silverware, and more. This area is a hub for the Indian community, where you can often see people wearing turbans and sporting long beards, giving visitors the feeling of being in India. The street also features Hindu temples and numerous restaurants serving authentic curry rice. Jalan Tun Abdul Razak: Hosts several large stores such as World Silk Store, Selangor Pewter Exhibition Hall, KL Sogo Department Store, as well as a halal snack area and Lee Wong Kee Chinese Restaurant. Jalan Masjid India is the main street. Take the Star or Putra LRT and get off at Masjid Jamek Station.
