Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is located in Telok Bahang, adjacent to Lake Gardens, and was established in 1986. It is the world’s first tropical butterfly park, covering an area of 0.8 hectares. The park simulates the natural habitat of butterflies and is planted entirely with tropical rainforest vegetation, especially flower-bearing species, numbering about 15,000, which provide food for the butterflies.

To prevent butterflies from escaping, the park is enclosed by a large net. Inside, there are over 120 species and 6,000 butterflies, with colorful butterflies fluttering throughout the park. Coupled with the surrounding plants, the entire garden is incredibly beautiful. In addition to butterflies, visitors can also see other insects such as millipedes, scorpions, lizards, alligator snapping turtles, mandarin ducks, spiders, and frogs. There is a lotus pond in the butterfly park, which is the best spot for taking photos. While resting in the park, butterflies may even land on your shoulder to greet you. You can buy some fruit; once they catch the scent, they will come to feed.

The park also houses an insect museum that showcases specimens of moths, butterflies, and other insects, offering visitors more insight into the world of butterflies. In addition, there is a souvenir shop where you can purchase handicrafts and butterfly specimens as mementos.
