The National Zoo of Malaysia is located in the northeastern part of Kuala Lumpur. Opened to visitors in 1963, it covers an area of 110 acres and is the best place to see animals when visiting Malaysia. The zoo is surrounded by lush forests and dotted with lakes and streams, offering beautiful scenery and a unique charm.

The zoo is home to 459 species and 5,137 animals that live here happily and carefree. It is divided into 16 zones, including the Reptile Park, Monkey and Ape Zone, Malaysian Elephant Zone, Waterfowl Zone, Large Bird Zone, Night Safari Zone, Penguin Zone, and Children’s World Zone, each offering unexpected surprises and excitement. Animal shows are held daily, where different animals take turns showcasing their skills, bringing laughter to both adults and children. The zoo houses over 200 endangered milky storks, and the staff are actively working on conservation efforts to protect these birds from extinction.

One of the main goals of the National Zoo is to raise public awareness about conservation through education and outreach, thereby protecting animals. To this end, the zoo also organizes seminars, interactive activities with visitors, and school outreach programs.
