Jamek Mosque

Jamek Mosque is a mosque located in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers. Designed during the British colonial period by Arthur Benison Hubback, an assistant architect from the Public Works Department, it was completed and opened in 1909, making it one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. The mosque features a Moorish architectural style, with the designer drawing inspiration from Indian architecture.

Before the completion of the National Mosque in 1965, it served as the main mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The prayer hall is surrounded by a large dome and is highly impressive. The decorations inside the mosque are also very grand, yet they exude a solemn and dignified atmosphere. It is a must-visit mosque when traveling to Malaysia.
