Opened in 1991, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is a public aviary covering an area of 20.9 acres. It has become one of Malaysia’s most popular bird parks, attracting around 200,000 visitors each year to explore this vast avian world. Here, visitors can not only learn about birds but also enhance their awareness of bird conservation.

The park is home to over 3,000 birds of more than 200 species, 90% of which are native to Malaysia, while the remaining 10% are imported from other countries. The birds live in naturalistic environments designed to replicate their natural habitats, allowing them to fly freely and interact closely with visitors. As one of the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviaries, it serves as a home where birds can roam freely. With such a remarkable variety of birds, the park has become a renowned bird-watching destination, offering enthusiasts and ornithologists alike opportunities for observation, learning, and research.
