The Malaysian Forest Research Institute Museum (Forestry Research Institute Malaysia Museum), abbreviated as FRIM MUSEUM, is located in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, approximately 15 kilometers from the city center of Kuala Lumpur, and is a unique tourist attraction in the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur.

The Malaysian Forestry Research Institute is a statutory body under the Malaysian government, and the Forest Research Museum is a public educational facility managed and operated by the institute. The primary function of the museum is to educate the public about Malaysia’s rich forest heritage, while also showcasing various species of trees and providing detailed explanations of their uses and derived products, thereby increasing public understanding of forest-related knowledge. Adjacent to the museum lies an undulating arboretum with a variety of trees planted for forest research purposes. Established in 1952, the arboretum aims to collect different species of trees and plants from across the country and cultivate them in this area. Visitors can also explore this space.

The Forest Research Museum offers guided tour services, but visitors must book in advance. The museum is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:45 PM. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Entry on foot is free, but there is a vehicle entry fee of 3 Malaysian Ringgit per car.
