The Chinese Tourism Zone is a comprehensive sightseeing destination on Jeju Island and the largest leisure resort in South Korea. Located by the sea in the Chinese area, it spans 1.3 million pyeong. This tourist and entertainment complex harmoniously blends natural and man-made landscapes and was designated as an international tourism zone in 1971. The zone features many attractions worth visiting, such as Pacific Land, Yeomiji Botanical Garden, golf courses, a tourist fishing village, Seonlim Bridge, Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, and the Chinese Beach. It also boasts top-tier hotels and tourism service facilities including the Shilla Hotel, Lotte Hotel, and Hyatt Hotel, making it the largest tourism service hub in the country. The zone frequently hosts visits from foreign heads of state, attesting to its global renown. The coastal scenery of the Chinese Tourism Zone is particularly stunning, serving as a popular filming location for numerous movies, TV dramas, and commercials. Among them, the courtyard of the Shilla Hotel—the filming site of the movie “Spy Girl”—is famously known as the “Spy Girl Hill.” Yeomiji Botanical Garden is also a must-see. It houses a 3,900-pyeong greenhouse where over 2,000 species of rare plants thrive, while the outdoor garden features more than 1,700 varieties of flowers and trees. A sightseeing train runs between the greenhouse and the garden. In the middle of the garden stands a 38-meter observation tower, which offers a panoramic view of the entire botanical garden. On clear days, you can even see Marado Island in the distance.

Transportation Jeju Integrated Transportation Terminal (064-753-1153) operates a suburban bus to Seogwipo via Chinese Tourism Zone every 12 minutes (50-minute ride). Jeju Airport offers Airport Bus Line 600 every 15 minutes (50-minute ride).
