Pink muhly grass can grow to heights of 30 to 90 centimeters, with its flowering period typically beginning in September and lasting as late as December. The flower spikes have a purplish-pink hue, and when viewed from a distance, they resemble a pink mist—extremely photogenic. One of the most well-known spots to see pink muhly grass is Kitchen OZ, where an Italian-style café is fronted by a large field of pink grass, making it a popular Instagram hotspot every autumn.
