Izu City is located in the central part of Japan's Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, bordering Suruga Bay to the west, making it the largest city on the Izu Peninsula. The city is the birthplace of Kyoho grapes, and there are wineries built on the hillsides that craft their own wine using high-quality grapes cultivated from these rich resources. Matsubara Coast Park is the best spot to watch the sunset, and its flower clock with a diameter of 31 meters is the world’s largest, recorded in the Guinness World Records.

If you’re traveling with your loved one, Lover’s Cape is a must-visit. At the observation deck, there is a bell that, according to legend, if you ring it three times while calling out the name of someone you miss, you will be able to love each other forever. The office also issues a “Lover’s Oath Certificate.”
