The Former Hokkaido Government Office Main Building is situated in the center of Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido. The three-story building includes two floors above ground and one basement level, housing various sections including the Hokkaido Prefectural Archives, Hokkaido Historical Gallery, meeting rooms, the Red Brick Northern Territories Museum, and the Karafuto Relations Materials Room. It holds a wealth of artifacts and documents related to Hokkaido’s historical development, and visitors can enter the Red Brick Building for free to learn about various aspects of Hokkaido’s history, culture, and lifestyle.
