PIKO Taro & Taipei Guest House Make a Stunning Appearance at the 2017 Sapporo Snow Festival

Japan’s Hokkaido annual highlight, the Sapporo Snow Festival, kicked off in grand style on February 6th. This year, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan unveiled a massive ice sculpture of the Taipei Guest House, dazzling and vibrant, which immediately drew large crowds and international tourists. The 68th Sapporo Snow Festival officially opened on the 6th, with Representative to Japan Wellington Koo also personally attending the event. The Taipei Guest House ice sculpture introduced this year is not only a national historic site that blends Eastern and Western architectural aesthetics, but also the largest ice sculpture on the festival grounds. It was meticulously carved from 800 large blocks totaling 130 tons of ice, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship that is truly breathtaking.
