Kappan Mountain Park

Kappan Mountain is located on the upper reaches of the Dahan River in Fuxing Township, at an elevation of 636 meters. The area enjoys mild weather year-round, with rolling peaks and fresh air, earning it the nickname “Taiwan’s Mount Lu.”

Kappan Mountain Park is situated on the southwestern side of the mountain. The park is covered with towering ancient trees, and over a dozen tall maple trees often turn brilliant shades of red in late autumn, captivating visitors with their vivid beauty.

A stone staircase in one corner of the park leads to the banks of the Dahan River, where a suspension bridge connects to the opposite Xikou Plateau. The plateau features a terraced landscape with four levels, surrounded by steep gorges and towering peaks, while the Dahan River meanders nearby. From the staircase, visitors can take in the sweeping mountain and river views.

Transportation: Take a Taoyuan Bus bound for Baleng, Fuxing, or Xiaowulai from Daxi, and get off at the Fuxing stop to reach the park.
