Chen Shu-rong, Director of the Bureau of Commerce and Industry Development of Taoyuan County Government, stated that tourist factories not only provide the public with a great place to relax on holidays, but also, through guiding various industries in transformation and combining corporate culture with leisure functions, they bring substantial tourism business opportunities and diverse development possibilities for local enterprises.

The current 21 tourist factories include renowned companies such as White Wood House, Ritek, Kimlan Soy Sauce, and Coca-Cola, as well as distinctive industries like Donghe Music Experience Hall and Pacific Cycles. They truly cover all aspects of food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment. This has made Taoyuan the county/city with the highest density of tourist factories in the nation, and it also has the highest proportion of outstanding tourist factories. Additionally, it is home to one of only two internationally recognized tourist factory highlights in the country – the Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake and Pastry.

To set a new record in visitor numbers,the Taoyuan County Government has launched four tourist factory tour packages with discounts of nearly 50% off, including “Listen to Taoyuan,” “Happy Taoyuan,” “Summer Love Taoyuan,” and “Hometown Taoyuan.” These four uniquely themed tours aim to let visitors experience the different beauties of Taoyuan.Whether you want to see the piano-making process up close, explore the principles of musical instruments in depth, learn more about the founding history and culture of famous enterprises, or take your family to participate in a variety of DIY activities, this package has it all.
