Dapu Taoyuan Cave

Taoyuan Cave is located at No. 42, Shantang Village, Dapu, and is a vegetarian hall dedicated to the principles of "self-cultivation and accumulating goodness."

Taoyuan Cave originated from Yuexia Ancient Cave in Qingyuan and was founded in 1924 by Mr. Tian Changrui, a native of Qingyuan. It was initially established in Dapu’s Wan Yao area before relocating to Shantang Village, Dapu in 1987.

Cultural Exchange Activities

Taoyuan Cave enshrines deities from the Three Teachings, including the Queen Mother, Maitreya Buddha, Manjushri Celestial Venerable, and Hua Tuo, and belongs to the Xiantian Dao sect. Major observances in the hall include the Hungry Ghost Festival and the Three Yuan Festivals. In addition to providing disciples with a tranquil environment for self-cultivation, the hall also offers spirit tablet enshrinement services for deceased disciples and ancestors.

Disciples of Taoyuan Cave frequently visit their mother temple, Yuexia Cave in Qingyuan, for cultural exchange.
