Jiulianquan Water Scenic Park

Jiulianquan Water Scenic Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Jiulianquan is located in Bashi Hu Township to the north of Usu County, on a low-lying marshland. The water from its nine springs converges into a single expanse of water, covering about 40 acres. The nine springs are irregularly arranged, resembling the shape of a lotus, with water depths of over ten meters. The springs remain warm in winter and cool in summer, flowing continuously all year round, gurgle southward into the farmland irrigation channels, becoming a precious water source vital to the lives of the locals. Surrounded by willows and lush grass, the area enjoys moist air and a pleasant environment.

Looking southward from Jiulianquan, the green trees of Usu Town come into view; further south, the foothills of the Tianshan Mountains stretch across the horizon; to the east and west lie the vast Gobi deserts. Jiulianquan not only boasts breathtaking scenery, shining like a emerald gem, but also has enchanting legends associated with it. Folklore says that Jiulianquan was created when Guanyin Bodhisattva, in a moment of compassion, plucked nine lotus leaves from her seat and scattered them, transforming them into these springs.
