On August 31, 2014, 52 race cars from over 30 teams officially set off from the west gate of the Badaling section of the Great Wall in Beijing, embarking on the nearly 6,000-kilometer-long journey of the second China Grand Rally (CGR). By September 12, when they arrived in Dunhuang, over the course of 13 days, CAMEL, as the exclusive outdoor product sponsor of the event, provided comprehensive protection for staff and drivers with its most professional outdoor gear.

The vast and sandy Silk Road tests only the bravest. CAMEL explained that to ensure their gear was better suited to the race, they conducted in-depth analysis in advance on factors such as the race route, road conditions, and environment. They specially designed gear to meet the unique anti-wind and anti-sand requirements of off-road racing, using top-tier fabric technology to create CGR custom outdoor equipment tailored for the rally.

Long race routes and ever-changing environments are among the major challenges the drivers will face. It is reported that just in the second stage in the Ussu region, the north-south elevation difference exceeds 4,000 meters, with vertically distributed climates roughly divided into four types: mountain climate, foothill climate, plain climate, and desert climate from south to north. Therefore, the CGR custom-made jackets created by CAMEL for off-road environments not only offer windproof warmth but can also easily withstand extreme weather such as sandstorms, rain, and snow. They also feature a powerful windproof system consisting of three key components: a hood-tightening system, a double-layer entrance protection system, and a dual-protection system combining YKK zippers with Velcro.
