Guide: Bayingolin County has two major international hunting grounds: Laohutai and Heiyingshan. Introduction: The Laohutai International Hunting Ground is located in Laohutai Township, Bayingolin County, Aksu, covering an area of approximately 200 square kilometers at an altitude of 1,800 meters. The hunting ground is situated in the southern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains, featuring flat and open terrain that slopes from north to south, with an annual precipitation of 150 mm. The main river in the area is the Kapuslang River. This region serves as a winter and spring pasture. The primary vegetation includes needlegrass, sedge, fescue, and wormwood. Around November each year, when mountain precipitation is low, a large number of wild animals such as red deer, antelope, wild goats, argali, wild boar, and wolves come down to drink water, and wildlife can be spotted here in the evenings.

The Heiyingshan International Hunting Ground is located in the northeastern part of Heiyingshan Township, Bayingolin County, Aksu, covering an area of approximately 120 square kilometers at an altitude of 2,200–2,600 meters. The hunting ground lies at the foothills of the Koktokay Mountain Range in the southern Tianshan Mountains, with terrain sloping from northeast to southwest, forming a triangular shape between two ridgelines and featuring significant topographical undulations. The annual precipitation ranges from 150 to 200 mm, and the vegetation includes feather grass, camel thorn, wild rose, fescue, wormwood, and needlegrass. Every winter, a large number of wild animals such as argali, wild goats, Mongolian gazelle, wild boar, wolves, and foxes roam the area.

Both hunting grounds feature unique landforms and a rich diversity of wildlife. Especially during winter, when many natural tourist attractions are closed, this site serves as a special tourism destination. Leveraging its distinctive advantage as a natural wildlife park, it combines hunting and tourism.

Every year, international hunters (from the United States, Germany, etc.) come here to engage in hunting activities. However, they must obtain approval from the relevant higher authorities for the types and quantities of game to be hunted. Once approved, hunting is offered at high prices to outsiders. The main species hunted are argali, and the animals must be at least six years old.
